There are 35 valleys, 110 mountain lakes (so-called „sea eyes„), and predominantly peaks – guards of everything under them. In the region, more than 500 peaks are found, out of which 10 are above 2600 meters high. Every moment looking from the peak leaves the/your heart with a life long impression. The silence of the valleys, the cauldrons, the picturesque lakes, silky sheen of the waterfalls, and simultaneously, the majesty of the contact with the monumentality of the peaks - all of these small components create the magical world of the High Tatra National Park
The Low Tatras are at 80 kilometers in lenght the longest mountain range in the country and cut a beautiful line across central Slovakia.
There are other mountain ranges which are worth to see e.g.: Malá a Veľá Fatra, Chočšké vrchy, Oravská vrchovina
